*BUG* The position of the moon in the sky, and the moonrise/set time has a bug. Sometimes its right, sometimes its wrong. Im working on a fix.

Welcome to the Isle of Palms, SC Tide Clock!

This site was designed to run on a wifi digital picture frame that I have in my living room, here on IOP. I started this little project in order to know what the tide is before I walk down to the beach. Over time I added live weather, sunrise and sunset times, the weather forecast, and some other neat features.

About The Tide Clock

• The moon displays its current phase.
• The weather radar is pulled from the National Weather Service.
• The temperature and weather forecast is pulled from the Google Weather API.
• The sun and moon, move around the tide clock to simulate their position in the sky.
• Right around sunrise and sunset, the tide clock will change its face to a beautiful twilight sky.
• The sun and moon data is pulled from the USNO Complete Sun and Moon Data for One Day.
• The tide clock displays a live image of the ocean (only during the day) courtesy of The Windjammer Surfcam.
• The tide clock determines the tide by pulling data from the NOAA 2010 Tide Predictions for the Isle of Palms Pier.
